Call for Workshop Proposals
Introduction
The ICDF2C 2026 Organising Committee invites proposals for the workshop program of the 17th EAI International Conference on Digital Forensics & Cyber Crime.
The purpose of these workshops is to discuss work in progress and explore opportunities for new research related to emerging topics including the use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in digital forensics as well as adversary engagement and threat intelligence for cyber security.
Potential workshops may include password cracking for forensics, forensic education, forensic applications of AI, responding to an incident from a police or corporate interaction perspective, including what to expect when you involve law enforcement.
Deadline for Workshop Proposals: 5 December, 2025
Notification of proposal acceptance: 10 December, 2025

Workshop Selection
We aim to select a diverse set of workshops and avoid having multiple workshops on overlapping themes. Organisers of selected workshops will be asked to produce a Call for Papers to describe the workshop to potential participants and solicit submissions.
The criteria for assessment will include:
- 1) Originality and technical merit of the topic
- 2) Motivation
- 3) Topical link to the main conference
Workshop Publication
Accepted and presented workshop papers will be published alongside the main conference proceedings as a sub section/chapter. Paper formats should, therefore, correspond to the templates of the publisher of the main conference. Workshop chairs are invited to engage journals and further publication opportunities, and cite these in their application.
Proposal Submission
Workshop proposals should be submitted in a maximum of 4 pages in PDF format, single- spaced. Please email your workshop proposals to the Workshops Chair at [email protected].
